In 1982, the 12th North Devon Scouts, based in Pilton Church Hall, produced this prize-winning entry “AFTER LAST YEAR WE’RE PREPARED” for the annual Barnstaple Carnival. It was so named because the 1981 Carnival had been a wash-out because of torrential rain. So far we only have one name – Mark Jeffery, who is third from the right, who was identified by Peter Jeffery.
Mark Rainey has now identified more: Mark Sowden, Simon Cole, Mark Soper and Paul Philips are in the front row.
