One edition of Pilton ‘Stars in Your Eyes’ took place in May 2008. Produced by Odd Couple Productions – aka Helen Clark-Hayton and Ced Piper – the aim was to raise money for charities. Fourteen wannabe stars took part.
The winner was Carly Jeffery as Duffy (shown in these pictures), sponsored by Philip Milton & Company, with Angela Bellamy and Karen Marshall second, as The Weather Girls, sponsored by Quay Maintenance, and Angie Luxton as Eva Cassidy third, sponsored by Fernfix Fitted Kitchens. The evening raised £2,500 for Pilton Green Man Festival, Pilton Church Hall and Appledore Pilot Gig Club.
