Head teacher of Pilton Junior School, Mr Charles Sherratt, pictured in 1962. The photo was taken by a very young Mark Elson, about 12 years old at the time and about to leave for senior school before going on to be a head teacher himself. A keen photographer still he’s now retired from teaching and has kindly sent in other photos of the class of ’62.
