This photograph, which dates from around the end of 19th century, is of Charles Pearce Senior, born 1858, who lived in Pilton House until his death in 1945. Charles Pearce was a Churchwarden of St Mary’s Church, a Justice of the Peace and Mayor of Barnstaple. He is buried in Pilton Churchyard.
