Arthur Thorne of Priory Gardens, Pilton with REME in Brussels

This photograph, sent in by Maureen Dark (neé Thorne) his daughter, is of Arthur Thorne of Priory Gardens, then Priory Road and later at 123, Pilton Street next to the Yeo Dale Hotel. This was more correctly referred to as Athelstan House, St Margaret’s Terrace, Pilton. During World War II Arthur Thorne served with the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME).
