Doris Fisher was a ladies hairdresser at No 27 Pilton Street where she and her trainees beautified generations of women in the front room where once her aunt, Ellen Sanders, ran the Pilton Street Post Office. Doris was born in February 1921.

Doris died in Pilton House in November 2012 aged 91 years.
