Pilton Panto 2011 Programme

The Pilton Panto in 2011 was ‘From Benidorm With Love’ in which James Pond saves the world from THRUSH and ends up getting his girl in the final wedding scene which is on the website. The Panto, in two acts, swung between London, Benidorm, Moscow, Barnstaple, Westward Ho! and Ilfracombe. Lee Smith wrote the script and directed it with support from Hamish Patrick. There was a cast of 18 and a further crew of a further 40 plus 3 dancers from Pilton Dance Academy – so it’s impossible to name them all.

The Panto was the latest in a long line of Pilton Church Hall Pantos and Plays going back at least to the play ‘Oliver Twist’ in 1923/24 of which there is a photographic record on this website. As ever, this one raised money for good causes – Pilton Festival, Pilton Church Hall, North Devon Hospice and the Pilton Church Hall Users (Scouts, Brownies, Pre-School and Dancers).
