Thanks to the contributions of three North Devon Councillors – Loki Dawson, Josh Rutty and Will Topps – and matching funding from the Pilton Green Man CIO, The Pilton Story website and archive have just been saved from being lost. The platform on which they were based, when created in 2012, was about to withdraw its support completely. As a result, we have been unable to upload new items to the archive for the last two years.
However, volunteer work by Paul Willcox over the last year has managed to retrieve safely all 800+ items of data and WIllcoxMedia has now re-written the website and archive is now safe.Please explore this website (www.thepiltonstory.org) and also start sending us your photographs and documents again for scanning and uploading.
