This party in Abbey Road, which was then only 10 years old and still a cul-de-sac, has already been included in the archive as a VJ Day Party (Victory over Japan on 15th August 1945) but this slightly different photograph of the same event has come to the archive as being a VE Day Party (Victory in Europe on 8th May 1945). Either way, it was very much a victory party.
